12 ways AI can supercharge your writing (without writing for you)
Share

When AI writing tools first appeared on the scene, I was concerned that it spelt the end for quality online writing.

This remains true, but only for those who rely entirely on AI to write for them, losing their unique touch in the process.

But there’s no turning away from AI if you want that edge.

Combining your fresh, authentic writing voice with AI tools can significantly improve your output.

(Rather than dumbing it down, if used correctly).

The secret I learned is to use AI like Claude or ChatGPT as your behind-the-scenes assistant rather than your ghostwriter.

Here are some of the ways I’m doing this:

1. Transcribe handwritten notes and brainstorms.

Just today, I photographed some messy notebook pages and used Claude to convert them into searchable and editable digital text that I could use in a post. Just like that.

This is perfect for capturing spontaneous ideas from walks or coffee-fueled brainstorms without losing brilliant concepts to illegible handwriting.

2. Research and fact-check quickly.

You can get comprehensive background information, studies, and statistics in minutes instead of hours.

AI cross-references facts across sources, letting you focus on bringing ideas together and developing your unique perspective.
