Yes. As a matter of fact, I have been writing ever since before I had the need to make any money.

Absolutely I would. I have journaled since I was 8 years old. Writing is compulsory and therapeutic for me, but it also brings me pleasure when that cathartic process results in a story/memoir/thoughts I can share.

Am short of words, I will only say; am going back to writing. I see the many benefits I miss because of not taking my writing seriously, yet I know deep inside that I need to. Thank you Alex

Those 9 reasons are great. I was going, 'Yep, that's why I'm doing it' to each one until the last one. I hadn't considered mental decline, but I'll take it as another benefit.

I'm writing for my own enjoyment and discovery. Someone finding my discoveries useful or interesting, or having any kind of reaction whatsoever is pretty fabulous.

I don’t need the money. I write daily. I do it for me. Sometimes I post things online.

Absolutely I would still write. The trouble of it is so darn satisfying.

Yes, I would. I have done since I was a child. Same with sketching. I don't need the promise of money to do it. But wouldn't mind earning a bit more from it though!

Yes, I would still write even if money was not in the picture. Writing is a form of release for my thoughts, views and feelings about different aspects of life. It is me saying that my existence is valid in this world, that I matter, that my views matter and they have value.

The primary reason for attempting to become filthy rich is to finally both have the time and the energy to write at the same time forever without having it compromised by life’s obligations (A JOB), external crisis, or relationship needs.
