I've had a few newsletters over the years and hated doing them. I always felt like I was only doing it because people said I should. I'd end up shutting them down. When I found Substack I knew straight away that it was a great fit for me. I love it.
I have my weekly repurpose of my daily newsletter on here, but I think it's time I take more advantage of everything SS has to offer. Might be time to launch another newsletter.
please do - just checked out your substack, and subscribed - I LOVE the idea of minimalist hustling - it's actually got me rethinking a couple of approaches on my side to make things simpler.
I have published on Substack for 5 weeks and I really like the platform. My subscribers are growing slowly and steadily; and I don't feel the pressure of writing like on other platforms. I like Substack for it is driven by quality writing and not algorithms or deep pockets. Every writer gets a chance to grow. The only challenge for African writers on Substack is monetization because Stripe is not supported in most African countries. My hope is that Stripe will be in Kenya by the time I want to monetize.
Hey Agnes, you need to do what you can to promote your Substack by sharing content and bringing attention to your brand elsewhere. But you can also attract followers merely by writing on Substack itself, becase - like Medium - it is a kind of social network too. Substack is not the same as Medium, though they are similar.

Awesome, thanks Alex! I've found keeping things simple has helped me enjoy the process so much more.
man it's always the best way
I just shared this on my LinkedIn
Awesome! Thanks 👊🏼🥂
I didn’t realise you could edit afterwards without it then resending to your audience?
Unless I'm wrong, you can. They just see the original in their email, but over on Substack they'll see the changed piece.
🤔 I need to get into this. I wanted to change my welcome thread for paid subscribers but it looked like it would update everyone.
yeah they need to make that more clear - I think it just updates without sending to everyone again ha
