I know what it's like to feel hopelessly lost.
There are so many options, and you don’t know what’s your best bet.
Mind magician Dan Koe made such a good point recently about how being lost is part of the process.
We all go through this phase.
You will first not be sure of what to do.
But now you need to find something to focus on.
Don't overcomplicate it.
(I sucked at this. Now I keep it simple).
Trying to do too many things trips up 98% of people.
So identify ONE exciting objective that’s a bit of a stretch.
It’s the ONE goal you’re putting above all else for now.
5 client sales next month.
A major course launching September 14th.
A 10k month within 3 months.
50 speaking engagements by the close of this year.
It might sound cheesy, but it needs to speak to your potential, not necessarily where you are now.
All my successes - from building a design business to writing books to growing an online following - started by setting an audacious singular target.
The goal should feel a bit frightening.
You feel that thudding?
Yes, your heart rate should be quickening at the thought.
Make the commitment to that thing today.
Do as I do and write the goal somewhere you see it daily.
Find someone to hold you accountable.
Most do not identify the commitment.
And most don't follow through.
But you will.
Now you must bring focus + intensity + consistency to your objective.
These will set you far apart from the crowd.
Surprise us with your relentlessness on a single target.
That's how you make a dent.
