'...you can also write about the most seemingly basic things and make them enjoyable.'

I particularly like this point, Alex! This is where our personal perspectives and experiences factor in our writing.

It’s a bit sad that this “keep it simple” is connected to the dumbing down of the average human beings .

True - often it's the complicated that is the dumbest.

Depending so much on the context. And also where we read : books or online articles.

I see your perspective, yet, does it really has to be connected to a dumbing down? I would think it is the messenger/writer who sets the stage. And I'd love to think of it as an "keep the essentials and make them uniquely relatable".

Keep It Simple: Today, no words have better been spoken to my over-thinking mind! Thank you!!

Knowing myself as I do it’s time once again to get it out the post-it notes and plaster them everywhere I’ll see them until they overcome all and any urge to “oversplain” those ongoing (and going and going …) thoughts.

Your insights on the importance of simplicity in writing are spot on! The reminder to communicate clearly and directly, like speaking with close friends, is invaluable. I would appreciate your advice on adapting our writing to changing times by being honest and straightforward, which echoes my thinking. A refreshing and practical read as ever
