Yes, yes, yes, yes... to every single point you have made here. I leverage AI in exactly the same creative and strategic way. The only difference is that I am a songwriter and musician. The AI does not create the meaning and the purpose. I do. It is simply an accelerant to bypass every bottleneck and energy sapping task just as you said. It also facilitates the exploration of alternative ideas and brainstorming that was previously impossible. I have every intention of continuing this type of workflow, as I begin putting together a massive fantasy world for kids that I've had in my head for several months now. I greatly appreciate your continued clarity and articulation on this topic!

love this Glen. AI support for creative work is highly underestimated and makes a lot more possible. People haven't scratched the surface. More on this to come. Looking forward to your creations.

So excited for you Alex, and could not agree more. Quality fiction is of great need and I am excited for the onslaught of creatives eager to take up the challenge. Have been a great fan of your short fiction, so can't wait to see what you come out with next this year.

Also love what you mention about the value AI brings to the creative process. Indeed, AI is a tool we can wield to our advantage. The trick is learning how to use it rightly, and thinking deeply enough to know what to ask. Amazing article, and looking forward to updates on your fiction journey! :) ~V

This made me genuinely happy to read. The way you describe protecting those hours, "like an angry badger", that's the energy!

I’m energised by everything you outlined for the industry, but above all, I eagerly anticipate reading North of Nothing. Knowing it’s uniquely yours, born from your passions and distinct voice, makes it something I truly look forward to. :D

Keep going. We're all watching and rooting for you!

Thank you Alex. I am looking forward to my new creations as well, lol. And to yours! I find the whole experience very exciting and fulfilling. Getting stuff out of your head and into the world is such a healthy and freeing thing. But as you said, people have not even scratched the surface. I think this is because they're scratching in the wrong place. They are so fascinated by the shiny objects they create— But have no idea what to do with those objects. In a very real sense, AI tools are a magnifying glass... They expose what is or is NOT there. ;-)
