As usual, Alex. Very insightful, and hits the nail on the head regarding why we write.

Great post, Alex. I completely agree with your reasons to write.

I have another one to add. I love writing because it makes me feel like I am talking to another person. Sometimes people in our lives do not understand creative processes or the need to express them so, writing is a way of sharing and expressing our thoughts.

Once written down, we feel a sense of release or relief to get on with other aspects of our lives.

In some ways, this is why people use pen names or pseudonyms for their words.

Also, if we are discussing a problem (by writing it down), sometimes the answer will reveal itself. So, in a way, writing is a form of therapy.

Thank you for sharing!

Great post! Inspired me to continue to write my words down. I love writing because it helps me make sense of the world around me. Once I can articulate through the written or spoken word what I am experiencing, it brings me back down to reality at truly how short this life can be. Thanks for sharing.

Alex ... I've been asked if I'd like to write for an online citizens newspaper 😳

I seem to have manifested being a writer!

I'll be following your words a lot more closely 😂

This reads like a love letter to writing. The part about stilling the mind by putting your body in motion really landed—never thought about typing as a spiritual practice, but it is. Also loved the bit about introverts connecting through the page. That’s exactly how writing saved me. Thank you for making the case not just for content creation, but for creative communion.
